Rocking agrees to accompany Apollo into the ring one last time in an exhibition boxing match against the unknown Russian Ivan Drago.

Drago though is far too strong for Creed, and kills him in the 2nd round. Rocky blames himself, and is determined to defeat Drago.

With the help of Duke and Paulie, he travels to Russia to take on Drago.
